Effective 3 October 2026
Connect Hound is a browser extension that runs entirely on your computer. This page describes what it stores, what it can see, and what it does with it. The short version: it keeps your campaign settings and prospect list in your browser, it reads and acts on LinkedIn pages in a tab it opens, and it never sends anything to us or to anyone else.
All of this lives in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device. It is not synced, not uploaded, and is deleted when you remove the extension. You can export prospects to CSV or delete them at any time from the Prospects tab.
One thing: your licence key, sent to connecthound.com about once a day to confirm the subscription is active. Nothing else leaves the browser. The only other traffic it causes is the LinkedIn pages it loads in your browser, exactly as if you had opened them. There are no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry and no update checks. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics; the only data it collects is what you type into its forms, described below.
If you submit the form on connecthound.com we store what you entered (name, email address, role, number of LinkedIn accounts, your message), the time, the page you sent it from, your IP address and browser user-agent string. This is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV on Cloudflare's global network and is used only to reply to you and to tell you when Connect Hound's paid plans open. We do not sell or share it, and we delete it on request. The IP address is also used, for up to one hour, to limit repeated submissions from one network.
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you start a trial or subscribe, Stripe collects your name, email address and, when you add one, your payment details under Stripe's privacy policy; we never see full card numbers. We store a licence record for your subscription in Cloudflare Workers KV: your licence key, email address, name, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, number of LinkedIn accounts, subscription status and renewal dates. The extension sends only your licence key to connecthound.com, about once a day, to check that the subscription is active; that request carries no LinkedIn data and no prospect data. Billing-portal links are emailed to the subscriber's address on request and expire shortly after.
Connect Hound is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to LinkedIn Corporation. Your use of LinkedIn remains governed by LinkedIn's own terms and privacy policy. LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts automation tools, and you are responsible for how you use this extension on your account.
Prospect records contain information those people made public on LinkedIn. You control that data on your own device. If you export it into another system, your obligations under applicable privacy law apply to that copy.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions can be sent through the contact form on the website.
