Effective 3 October 2026
Plain-language summary. Connect Hound is a browser extension you run on your own computer against your own LinkedIn account. You decide who it contacts and what it says. LinkedIn's rules apply to you, not to us, and LinkedIn may restrict accounts that use automation. Subscriptions start with a 14-day trial that takes no card and never charges automatically.
Connect Hound is a product of Quill Hound ("we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the Connect Hound browser extension, the website at connecthound.com, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By installing the extension or using the website you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
Connect Hound is software that runs inside a Chromium-based desktop browser on your computer. It uses the LinkedIn session already signed in to that browser to open LinkedIn pages, read the parts of those pages needed for your campaign, and perform the actions you configured: visiting a people search, sending connection requests with a note you wrote, checking your connections list, and sending messages you wrote after a connection is accepted. Nothing runs when your computer is off or the browser is closed. We do not operate servers that act on your LinkedIn account.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the extension for your own outreach on LinkedIn accounts you control. You may not resell, sublicense, or offer the Service to third parties as a managed service, remove notices, or use the Service to build a competing product. The extension's source files are provided for inspection and personal modification; distributing modified builds under the Connect Hound name is not permitted.
Connect Hound is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation. LinkedIn's published policy prohibits unauthorised software that automates connections and messages, and LinkedIn may warn, restrict, or close accounts it believes are using such software. Connect Hound's pacing controls reduce volume; they do not make automation approved by LinkedIn and do not remove this risk. You accept that risk by using the Service, and you agree that we are not liable for any restriction, suspension, or loss of your LinkedIn account or its contents. If a LinkedIn workflow you choose requires a LinkedIn subscription, you purchase that from LinkedIn separately.
New subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial. No payment card is taken and nothing is charged automatically. When the trial ends without a payment method, the subscription pauses and the licence stops validating until you add a payment method and choose monthly or annual billing from the billing page. Dry-run mode in the extension keeps working without a valid licence.
The trial is offered once per person. Addresses that differ only by dots, plus-tags, or capitalisation are treated as the same person, temporary or disposable email services are refused, and we may decline a trial, or end one that is already running, where the address, network, or payment details indicate a trial was already used. Subscriptions created that way continue as ordinary paid subscriptions from their start date. A licence key may be used on no more browsers than the subscription has seats.
The extension keeps your settings, templates, and prospect records in your browser's local extension storage. Its only outbound request is a daily licence check that sends your licence key to connecthound.com. The website stores the enquiries you submit and a licence record for each subscription. Details are in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Do not probe, overload, or interfere with the website or its forms, submit false information, or use automated means to submit enquiries.
LinkedIn changes its pages often, and features of the extension may stop working until updated. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify paying customers of material changes.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We make no promises about response rates, connection acceptance, hiring, sales, or any other outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or LinkedIn account access, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing.
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your outreach content, your targeting choices, your breach of these terms, or your violation of LinkedIn's terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and, for paid plans, cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms. Sections 5, 8, and 11 to 16 survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there, unless the law of your place of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.
If we change these terms we will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes affecting paying customers, give notice before they take effect. Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact form on the website.
